We all love Instagram, but many other apps offer a more streamlined fashion version, one of which being Pose. As written in their online blog, “Pose is a free app that lets you share and discover inspiring styles from around the world.” Heart your favorite posts, sort your favorites into “collections” of inspiration folders, and network! Get inspired by everything from mani-mondays, street style pics, to high fashion Behind The Scenes snaps. Trendabl is another app very similar to this one, geared toward the Instagram loving fashion gal.
One of my all time favorite apps for fashion is Go Try It On. Let’s face it, as much as we love to think we always dress ourselves well, most of us crave the approval of a like-minded fashionista. This app allows you to upload your look or options of a look, pick the event, and get advice before heading out! It’s like a pocket full of fashion consultants letting you know whether it’s loved or you should “wear something else”.
LookBook.nu has been coined the collective fashion conscious. I’ve been a fan of this website for years, and they’ve finally released a note-worthy app. Follow and be inspired by style makers from around the world; hype the looks you like, post your own, make friends, and figure out where your icons are shopping!
Next up on the must-have fashion apps is definitely Have to Have. While this start up is still young, it’s got a great concept behind it and the app makes it completely unlike any other. While the website offers you to style stalk your favorite trend setters and save items of theirs, or of your own choosing (from any website) to a wishlist, or specific list. The app, however, has so much more to offer! Snap or scan a shot of a bar code or an image of an item you love while you’re out and the app will find the info for it and save it to your wishlist. You’ll also be notified when items on your list/s go on sale. This is by far one of my favorites that I advise any fashion-lover and/or shopaholic to download it.
For the hardcore, yet non-immersed fashion lover I suggest the Style.com app. Catch up on all the recent fashion shows from around the world, right on your phone, as well as checking out the sartorially inspiring “Look of The Day”, or reading up on the Style Files blog. This app will keep any lover of all things runway fashion on their toes and well informed.
